Overview:

Ivey’s John F. Wood Summer Leadership Symposium (formerly known as the Summer Leadership Program), hosted in London, Ontario at the prestigious Ivey Business School, is designed to equip students with foundational skills and knowledge necessary to have a strong start in their post-secondary journey and have success in their future endeavors. Through a focus on business and leadership, participants will explore essential competencies such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, public speaking, and team management. Additionally, students will gain valuable insight into successful pathways to post-secondary education, including the opportunity to experience the prestigious Ivey case method and engage in experiential learning in an immersive one-day symposium. Furthermore, the symposium aims to provide a valuable opportunity to establish connections with mentors and peers who share similar business interests.

What stood out about this opportunity that makes it such a unique experience worthy of being part of The Collection?

It was great because i was able to get insight on Western University. Furthermore, I was introduced to the Clifton Strength Assessment, and learned all about the Ivey Case method.

What is something a youth applying to this opportunity should know?

To have a lot of extracurriculars and awards to get accepted in the program.
